Installation and Use of Inert Gases for Beverage Dispensing 

  

The above standard which covers Gas monitoring and regulators was bought into effect in Nov 2005 with a phase on period of two years ,premises were to be be bought up to standard by December 2007 In para 1.1.2 the standard states as follows  .

In recognition of this Standard, existing equipment should be assessed for risk, and control measures should be implemented.

Current installed equipment should be updated to conform to this Standard.  Compliance improvements should be made within a time frame that takes into condideration the cost of upgrading and the associated risk levels.  Where compliance improvements are not associated with significant safety issues it is recommended that they should be implemented as follows:

  

(a)  Non-naturally ventilated areas, by end of 2007.

(b)  Gas operated pumps requiring exhausting to outside areas, by end of 2007.

(c)   All other areas requiring compliance improvements, by end of 2011.

  

  

Once your premises are upgraded it is important that the six monthly gas calibrations and gas distribution certifications are carried out  to ensure that the systems are operating according to the standard . Premier have highly trained  technicians available to carry out the required  calibrations and gas system certifications ,and to ensure that clients have the required paperwork Premier have developed a special system which will ensure that the client can request copies of all the relevant paperwork for up to three years as required by the standard ,all the backup information is stored in a secure facility off site to ensure security and availability of the information . 

Premier technicians are all factory trained and continue to carry out regular training to ensure they remain up to date with technology and systems . Premier on call technicians vans are all equiped with an extensive range of spare parts and equipment . We have all the necesssary equipment to extract and ventilate gases from cellar and storeage areas should a leak occur. Premier then use the latest overseas electronic leak detection technology to find any leaks quickly to ensre that the system is up and running in the minimum time .
